About Butters' Bakery

Butters’ Bakery is owned and operated by twin sisters Kara Butters and Kendra Butters Everett. They have always had a love for cooking, baking and trying new recipes as they started helping their mom in the kitchen at a young age. The sisters also watched their grandma make wedding cakes and birthday cakes for them and the other grandkids, such as teddy bears and carousels.

While Kara and Kendra both work in the Michigan Legislature, they enjoy spending their free time baking and sharing their baked goods with others.

Kara and Kendra live near each other in Mason, which allows them to work together baking in their home kitchens. Their families enjoy sampling their new baked creations.

Special Orders, No Store Front Location: Butters’ Bakery operates by special order giving customers unique and custom-made baked goods. We do not have a storefront location, so it's important to call or e-mail if you are interested in placing an order. We primarily serve customers in the Lansing and surrounding area, but will work to meet the needs of anyone who contacts us.

Order Time: We can provide treats for every occasion. Please provide at least three days notice for an order request. Depending on the type of order, more time may also be required for appropriate preparation. The earlier you order, the more options you may have.

Delivery: We will make arrangements to meet you with your baked goods at an agreed upon place. A cost for delivery may be applied depending on the distance traveled.

Tastings: For large orders, such as wedding cakes, we can schedule a tasting as a way to sample our products. Contact us if interested in setting one up.

Gluten Sensitive/Dairy Sensitive/Egg Sensitive: We are able to make orders for those who have sensitivities or allergies to gluten, dairy or eggs. We refer to these orders as "sensitive" rather than "free" etc. because we do use all these products in our kitchen and for most orders, although we would not use them for your order.
